Hi guys! Good morning! I hope Y’all are having a good start to your Friday and hopefully long weekend. We have a weekend full of swim lessons, pool time, and celebrating my hubby Manny’s birthday.
I wasn’t going to share the American Eagle try on session until next week but I checked and there are some good sales this weekend including a good one there. So, of course, I had to get into work mode and make it happen so I can share everything I found.
Here’s what you can expect from this American Eagle try-on session. Lots of info on sizing, styling suggestions, and video to go with it on Instagram Instastories. Plus shoppable images on Liketoknow.it and easy direct links here too.
Alright, grab a coffee or wine I’m not judging and let’s get started.
Just a little side note if you find this try-on session helpful please shop through my links. I work really hard putting these together for Y’all because I really love being a good resource for you.
Alright, that’s really it. Let’s start shopping!

Asymetrical Button Henley T-Shirt: This tee shirt is such a good staple piece to have. It’s great to wear on it’s own or layered as the weather gets cooler. I love that it comes in lots of colors and is on sale this weekend. This T-Shirt runs a little big. I would size down one size if you are in between sizes.
High-Waisted Jeggings: These jeans are some of my favorite jeans I have tried on lately. I love the wash and fit. They come in short, regular, and tall sizes. They were a tiny bit too long for me, but not long enough that I wouldn’t wear them. I like the distressed detail on the hem. They run tts. Wearing a size 4 for size reference.
*Just a quick fyi I am sharing three different pairs of jeans that I will be trying on with the same asymetrical button henley tee. I wanted to wear the same shirt so you could see and compare apples to apples so to speak if that makes any sense.
Hight-Waisted Jeggings: These jeggings were me venturing out of my comfort zone and omg am I really glad I did. They are so cute and I love the light wash of these. They run tts. Wearing a size 4 for reference.
Dark Skinny Jean: This skinny jean runs tts but in my opinion it doesn’t fit like a true skinny jean. It’s not quite as tight around the legs as typical skinny jeans. With that being said I really like these. They are a great jean for fall or for work on a casual Friday. They hit high enough that there shouldn’t be any oops moments when bending to do anything at work. They run tts.
Asymetrical Button Henley T-Shirt: I wanted to share a closer look at this sweet top. I love the button detail and that the button detail is functional. Okay let’s chat about this tee. It is such a good staple piece to have. It’s great to wear on it’s own or layered as the weather gets cooler. I love that it comes in lots of colors and is on sale this weekend. This T-Shirt runs a little big. I would size down one size if you are in between sizes.
Mock Neck Stripe Cropped Sweatshirt: This cropped sweatshirt is really cute and something you could wear now depending on where you live. It would be really cute with a pair of high waist denim shorts. I couldn’t find it in this color combo on American Eagle but did find it in a really cute version version. This runs a little big. If you are in between sizes I would size down.
From now on if I try a pair of jeans on with a top it will be with these jeans. I felt like they were a good option and such a must have.
Oversized Henley Pullover Sweater: I basically love this sweater. It’s light weight enough to wear on cool nights and perfect to layer with as the weather starts to feel more like fall. I love that it comes in lots of colors and is really good quality. It is a little sheer but not enought that it needs a tank top or anything. I would suggest wearing a nude bra with it. Sizing wise it fits just like the description says so I would size down if you want it to fit more fitted. I sized down to an xs and love it.
Lace Trim Square Neck Tank Top: This tank top runs a little small so if you are on the bigger chested side I would definitely size up one size. I love the thicker straps and lace detail. The thicker straps make it easier to wear almost any bra I own with these tank tops. They are a little cropped but with all the highwaisted options it works out great.
Paperbag Skirt: I am loving the highwaisted trend so much. This skirt is so darling. I love the print and that it has the paperbag detail around the waist. It is literally one of the most flattering types of skirts. Full disclosure it doesn’t have a zipper but it does have some very well thoughout elastic in the back of the skirt.
Okay and then here is an easy way to transition this to fall weather.
Just add a cardigan and clogs and you are good to go.
Caridgan: It runs tts and is really figure flattering. I really like it.
Clogs: Omg I hadn’t seen a pair of these in a long time. I love the feel they give to this outfit and they are such a good shoe to transition with since they are closed toed shoes.
Military Button-Up Shirt: I have been dying for a shirt like this. I love the shade of olive green. It is basically universally flattering. I love the length of the shirt too. It can be worn out without looking like I have been playing in my mommas closet or tucked in. It runs a little big so I sized down to an xs. It is super soft and basically feels like butter.
Pink Super Soft Sweatshirt: Okay it’s not technically called that but it should be. This is the softest sweatshirt I think I have ever worn. It is super soft and comes in 8 more colors. It runs a little big so I would size down if you don’t want it to be too baggy.
Mixed Striped Boxy Sweater: This sweater is one of those must have pieces. It’s fun and makes a statment in the best possible way. I love the black and white stripes and then the pop of purple on the sleeves is just perfect. It’s one I plan on wearing a lot. Well as soon as it’s not 100 degrees outside. It runs a little big since it is a boxy fit. I sized down to an xs since I am super petite.
Tie Dye Sweatshirt: This sweatshirt takes me back to going to camp and getting to tie dye tees, scarfs, and sweatshirts. Omg I love this sweatshirt because it gives me all the nostalgic feels and is super soft. When I was a kid I would go to an away camp called Camp Celo in the N.C. mountains and this takes me back. It comes in a gorgous blue combo too.
Striped Comfy Cardigan: This cardigan is super soft and I love the big tortious shell looking buttons. It has a lived in feel without being lived in yet. This is definitely a clost staple. I can already imagine wearing it with a well placed holiday Starbucks drink. Basically my favorite time of the year.
Tencil Parka: Alright I have no idea why it’s called a parka but it is so cute. It’s also the softest jacket I think I have ever tried on. I love that it has a zipper and functional snaps. This is such a great color of olive green too.
Alright, you have made it to the end. Seriously give yourself a pat on the back. Todays try-on session was a little long. Thanks for hanging in there. Have a great weekend!
