Good morning Y’all!! Today’s post is going to be a little different because I’m going to get a little personal on here. So grab a cup of coffee and let’s chat. First things first let’s talk about this gorgeous gingham checks ruffle top that had me at first sight. I literally found my size and was like yep I need you to come home with me pretty top. If pinks, not your jam it comes in a navy and white combo too. I paired it with these gorgeous blue earrings that are total game changers. There is something about pink and blue together that just pops.

Okay now that we talked about the fun stuff let’s get to the deep part of the conversation. I shared a little about how I’ve been struggling with body image post-baby on Instastories. It was hard, to be honest, and a little humbling to say out loud that I’m not happy with how I look. I know it’s important to be real though because we all have struggles we are going through at times. I know in the scheme of things it’s not a huge thing, but it’s something I’m self-conscious about. So it’s important to me. I didn’t put a lot of pressure on myself to get back in shape after having Sofia because I knew I wanted to focus more on spending time with her especially since this is probably the last time I’ll have a newborn again. Well, my daughter is 15 months old and it’s about time for me to find the time to take care of me. I’m not making huge changes all at once, but I am going to start slow. First being to find 30 minutes to 1 hour a day during the week to work out for me so I can feel more confident in my own skin. In the spirit of keeping it real I still fit in all my pre-pregnancy clothes, but I don’t feel as confident in them. So I’m going to do something about it because it’s the right time to take care of me. I know this is going to take time, but I figured I might as well start now.

I’m giving myself a year to make all the changes that will hopefully equal big changes in regards to working out, my eating habits, and lifestyle. I’m totally not against plastic surgery when diet and exercise only get you so far. So I wouldn’t judge anyone who has had a tummy tuck for example, as that is completely their choice. I’m giving myself that time to work towards all my goals and then reassess if I might want to meet with a plastic surgeon because there is no shame in getting a little something done. I’m a believer in preventive maintenance for sure. I really need to get some fillers soon. Looking well-rested always makes me feel like I look younger. Plus who likes hearing you look tired right?! My friend had a mommy makeover in Philadelphia and she’s never been happier. So if you think surgery is the right choice for you, give it a go! If you are interested in finding out more information about different types of plastic surgery or if you’re just interested in doing a little light research – visit https://broadwayplasticsurgery.com/breast-augmentation/.

If you are at the point where you are ready to meet with a plastic surgeon you should meet with my friends at Memorial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Roehl’s is running a special on their mommy makeover. Dr.Roehl’s Mommy Makeover Special is where you combine two or more cosmetic procedures (They are all listed below in the picture!!) and receive $2,000 off the surgeon fees. It’s something I’ve thought of doing but for now, I think I might need to make a much-needed visit for some fine line filler help.

Thank you all so much for stopping by!! Have a fabulous holiday weekend!!

I never lost the complete baby weight until I was totally done nursing. Still nothing was ever the same. I finally learned to accept the change. You look wonderful and love your entire outfit.

Candy, thank you so much!! I literally haven’t worked out since having Sofi so I think it’s time. I’m fully expecting the stomach muscles to basically have a totally different look then they use to. Thanks for all the love on the outfit!!

Isn’t funny how clothes you wore before don’t seem to fit who you are later even if they physically still fit? Love that top, the cut, color, everything!

Jordan, it really is crazy. I planned on starting to work out this week, but allergies and the babies allergies have me sidelined. I’m starting next week. Thank goodness for Youtube they have so many workouts you can do at home.

Leigh, thanks girl!! That is my plan. I really think finding a half hour even twice a day can be done. It’s all about getting it done and not getting caught up in it has to be this perfect 30 or 60 minutes. Which is so hard for me.

This top is so cute and you look great in these pics! It takes time to find some personal balance after kids. Finding that path to better self image is attainable.

Christina, it really does take time, but I feel like waiting for the perfect time will never come. So I’m just going for it. Thanks for the encouragement.

Love the top, the whole outfit. I’m really into the ‘off of the shoulders’ look.

That top is absolutely gorgeous but those SHOES. Oh my goodness, can I have some, please? I have a son and it is so, so hard to find the time to work out in-between all the other ‘life’ things that you have to do! I feel ya.

    xo, Victoria

Victoria, I feel the same way. I’m trying to take at least a half hour while nap time is going on to get some kind of workout in. Boys are definitely a workout. I feel like keeping up with my son has helped me a lot. Hehe!!
