I thought this was the perfect time to change it up a little, and share my everyday beauty routine. I love trying new products, but these are the products that have been on repeat in my routine for a long time. Let me first warn you that I make some of the oddest facial expressions while doing my makeup. So bare with me, and if you have any questions, I’m happy to answer whatever you have!! I planned on sharing this closer to my last beauty post, but life had other plans. All the products I’m using were in my What’s In My Makeup Bag blog post. I always begin by prepping my skin with moisturizer, and then apply my favorite eye cream. Even if I don’t wear makeup my full face these two products are always part of my morning and evening ritual. Then I add two of my favorite skin primers. I use the primer on my cheeks, and sometimes my nose. Then I use this on my forehead, and bridge of my nose. A little goes a long way with both of these so they will last a long time.
I start my makeup with my eyes because it’s a lot easier to clean off excess eyeshadow if there is no foundation to work around. For my brows I use a MAC 266 and Espresso. I love that its angled, and gives a really precise application. Then I apply Painterly as a primer to my eye lids. I love that it stays on, and is super easy to apply. Eyeshadows are one of my favorite things to collect. I can’t tell you how many I have on hand, but let’s just say I have a healthy collection. I really like applying eyeshadow to just my eyelids with a MAC 233. It holds the eyeshadow really well without leaving eyeshadow dust all over my face. The key with this brush is basically patting it on instead of sweeping it over your eyelid.
I apply Omega Matte in my crease. I go over the crease about a half dozen times trying to making sure to blend, and blend some more with a windshield wiper motion with my eyeshadow brush. I hope this makes sense. I also apply Embark on the outer crease of my eye in a half circle kind of motion. I use a really light touch when I do this.
I use Shroom in the inner corners of my eyes with this MAC 219. It helps to give me a little pick up , and help me look a little more fresh faced. When my eyeshadow is all done; I add my favorite Black Track. I’ve been using paint pot eyeliner for over 5 years with a MAC 266. It’s amazing and last for such a long time.
I use my favorite NC25 underneath my eyes, on the bridge of my nose, and the inner edge between my eyes. With concealer under my eyes I always use my hands to blend. It’s a lot safer on that delicate skin. Then it’s time for Natural 4. I love that it’s a stick foundation that’s easy to blend!! It lasts such a long time, and is easy to take where ever I go. I use this MAC 187 which is really helpful when I’m trying to mask my large pores. This brush really does help with that!! I promise!!!
Then it’s all about the highlighting and contouring. This is something I get better at each day hopefully because it’s all about practice, practice and practicing some more. I use this MAC 159 to contour because it’s really easy for me to control.
Then I use Pinch me, that’s my favorite with this Mac 168. This brush is super soft, but is also makes applying my favorite blush really easy.
Eye lashes that are longer and fuller are pretty much the holy grail to me. Since I wasn’t blessed with them I am thankful to have a little extra help from these products. I’ve been using this Loreal Double Extend, and it’s been working really well so far. I use around 2 to 3 coats. I like to change up my mascara every few months. I think my lashes get use to mascaras kind of like to shampoo for my hair. So Perversion has been my new favorite mascara for the last 6 months . It really helps to make them look longer and fuller. I apply around 3 to 4 coats.
Last but not least it’s all about the lipstick and lipgloss. Creme cup is one of my favorite shades for pretty much any season. I love that it’s muted yet still bright pink. I know that probably doesn’t make any sense, but it really is both muted and bright. Then of course it is all about the gloss. I love Pretty Plush even though it does smell a little like Play Doh. It has been part of my beauty routine for the last 8+ years. I love that it’s not crazy expensive, and really gives that natural pop I love. That is pretty much my everyday routine with a few stops here and there to love on my new little man. I can’t believe he is officially 6 months old. Seriously where is the time going!!!
Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!!
