If you are looking for a good way to transition a light weight summer LBD to fall, add a button down. This is the perfect way to add another layer with the cooler temps coming in September. Then again, if you’re in Texas and it’s cooler in the mornings, and warmer in the afternoon this will work great for you. Because it’s easy to take a layer off, and still look put together. So it’s a win win!! Yep, I’m that person that’s chilly all the time, but in Houston I don’t have that problem quite as much. What’s your favorite way to transition towards those chillier temps?

Happy Monday!! I hope everyone had a great weekend!! We celebrated my birthday over the weekend even though it’s technically Monday (today). Sorry I’m trying to get a head start on this blog post so Monday is going to be all about hanging out with little guy, and Face Timing my sisters and in laws one too many times. It was really nice to celebrate another year alive with my sweet baby boy, and my husband. It might sound a little odd to say another year alive, but I’m trying to not take any moment for granted since my mom passed away unexpectedly last summer. So every moment is special, and something I try to embrace every day. Though in all realness I have my days where I’m tired, and don’t always appreciate every moment as much as I should. Though that’s normal, right?

Okay…on to this cute outfit that won’t break the bank, and is cute on everyone. This dress isn’t maternity so everyone go out and get it. It’s grey one of my favorite neutral colors that can be dressed down with flats, or dressed up like I did.  I wore it for a really nice birthday dinner with Manny Saturday night. It was just the two of us getting to have a delicious dinner at Truluck’s, and the most delicious dessert to finish our date off with. Their Chocolate Bag dessert is amazing!! If you have a Truluck’s close by please stop by, and order this amazing dessert. We use to live close to one in Uptown Dallas, and now that there is one in The Woodlands it’s been such a nice treat. The first day of August is this Monday, and for me this signifies the end of the summer. Outfits like this are my favorite laid back type of outfit for the end of the summer get togethers. Especially when it starts to feel a little chillier outside. I know that it’s very far off here in Houston because the temps are high, and the humidity is crazy high. Hello bad hair days. Keeping a curl in this hair has not been easy lately. Okay back on topic. I love this Lush top, and it’s on sale for under $30!! It comes in a lot of different colors too!! Woo hoo!! Lush tops are make of the softest material, and usually really well made. What’s your favorite end of summer outfit? Hope y’all have a great weekend!!
