I’m talking fresh flowers today which isn’t a huge shocker since my Instagram has pops of fresh flowers sprinkled in thanks to my weekly grocery shopping trips. Yes, I’m that person. If I have to go to the grocery I have to pickup some fresh flowers as well. I’m not picky on the type of flowers I choose as long as their fresh and smell amazing!!
So, in the spirit of my love of fresh flowers, and my hubby surprising me with the ‘Just Make It Awesome Roses‘ arrangement from The Bouq Co. I thought I would share what I thought of them. I hadn’t heard of this company before my hubby sent them to me. It arrived through Fed Ex in a grey and black rectangular box with the sweetest card inside. The presentation of the card was on point. I loved that it was on really nice thick card stock. Which I loved because it set a positive tone for unboxing the arrangement. The roses came wrapped in plastic bubble wrap, and thin cardboard on top of that. Thankfully they were easy to open, and didn’t take a lot of work. The roses came with an easy instruction sheet on how to care for them. Which is great for anyone that doesn’t really no how to care for fresh flowers. I really like that you can choose whether you want a vase or not. I liked that since I have enough vases from other floral arrangements. What I didn’t love was the roses still had all their thorns on them, and some of the roses had brown spots on the petals. This was a let down since they were brand new. Also, the roses weren’t all the same/similar height. So, when I cut one stem, and used that as my guide to cut the rest of them they weren’t even close in height. Something minor, but that I didn’t like was all the leaves on the roses. That was easy to take off, but the thorns weren’t.
All in all, I’m not sure I would order them again since I had friends share with me they had the same flowers from The Bouqs Co. delivered, and they looked worse than mine. So, I would be worried that my next arrangement might be in worse shape than the one that just arrived a few days ago. I liked the arrangement, but didn’t love it. What I did love was the sweet card my hubby sent.
This weekend is going to be busy we’re celebrating my sweet boys second birthday with his grandparents. I’m pretty excited to celebrate him. We already began his birthday weekend by marking it with his first trip to the Houston Zoo!!
