Happy Monday!! I can’t believe the weekend is already over. It went by way too fast with the whole springing forward we all did on Sunday. This is going to sound sad, but I had so many good plans for Amazon, and Netflix series I wanted to watch. Hehe!! Oh well there is always next weekend for my binge watching of good shows. The one I really have my eye on is The Night Manager. I’ve only seen two episodes, but I’m hooked. Since it was chilly for Houston standards we stayed in most of the weekend with the babies playing in my sons mini ball pit instead of binge watching anything. We did watch a few episodes of Daniel Tiger and Thomas The Train. My son loves those two shows. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen my son in his ball pit a few dozen times, or heard those shows on in the background here and there.

We did get a little cabin fever, and went out for lunch on Sunday. I wore this red off the shoulder number because sometimes you just feel like looking sassy, girly, and just feeling a little like your old self for just a bit. I have a feeling this Romwe dress is going to be on major repeat. The best part is the dress, and shoes are both very budget friendly. The dress is $11, and the wedges are under $60. So, treat yourself to something cute for spring. Can you believe the first day of spring is next Monday? I have a quick question for y’all. Off The Shoulder Top On Major Repeat

Hooray the weekend is almost here!! I’m so excited to start the weekend, and the best part is we have nothing to do this weekend. The last couple weekends we’ve had so much going on over the weekend that we haven’t really had a chance to spend much time together. The plan this weekend includes snuggling with the kiddos, going to the park if it doesn’t rain, and a Redbox movie or two. Then again, we might watch The Night Manager instead. It’s available on Amazon Prime, and I’ve wanted to watch it this week, but our DVR was pretty full. So, we had to catch up on This Is Us, The Americans, and I’m sure there’s more, but you get the gist of it.

Okay, on to this cute OTS top. It’s been on major repeat becasue I love the color, and cut. It’s one of my favorites, and yep I’ve worn it a few times already this week. What can I say when I like something I really like it. To switch it up, and dress it up a little I wore these black jeans, and this grey cardigan. Cardigans are one of my absolute must haves for basically any outfit. It might have someting to do with the fact that I’m usually always cold, or becasue I haven’t lost the last 5 pounds of baby weight.

3 Reasons To Attend A Blogging Conference

It has been such a rainy weekend, and I apologize that these photos aren’t as good as I wish they were. I really wanted to share one of the outfits I wore to Thrive Conference. I wore this for the last day of the conference. It was a short day with one break out session class. I wanted my outfit to be comfortable, and cute since this was the more hands on portion of the conference. It was a really good session with lots of ideas on how to grow social media followings without buying followers. Which is something I am completely against.

Okay, so I want to share why you should go to a conference for whatever industry you’re in, and especially if you’re a blogger. So, I’m going to share my top three reasons why you should invest in yourself, and go to a work conference for you.

Meeting other bloggers in your field is awesome, especially when you meet bloggers that you’ve been following that are attending the same conference. Yes, I’ve gotten to have that fan girl moment which was awesome!! Also, it’s really nice to make friends who are passionate about the same thing. Blogging is one of those things where we document so much, and it’s really cool to be around people who understand the need for a zillion photos at different angles so you can get just the right photo.
Learning more about what you’re passionate about is important, and a lot of times leading brands are at conferences. They can give invaluable advice and insight.
The last one I can’t promise, but a lot of the time you can meet brands that you wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to have face to face time with. Which is great for any blogger, but it can be really helpful for newer bloggers. The reason being newer bloggers aren’t always as seasoned at finding the PR contacts for companies, and that possible face to face time is really helpful.
