I don’t know about y’all, but do you ever have one of those days where everything that can go wrong does go wrong? Well, the day that I wore this outfit that was totally the case. First, I lost my keys. Something that never happens because we have a place where we hang them. So that completely threw me off. Then I forgot the SD Card for my camera, and realized it as soon as we were going to take photos. So I drove home only to realize after franticly searching it had been in my camera bag the whole time. Yep, that day was the beginning of pregnancy brain showing me it was here. Thankfully they were all things that could be handled fairly easily.

Okay, so lets get on to the outfit. I love this cardigan, and it’s a great deal at under $50. Shop style says it’s sold out, but when I check Nordstrom directly they have it in stock. It’s really good quality for being under $50. It does runs a little big so size down one to two sizes. Usually I wear between a small, or extra small, but ended up needing to go with an extra extra small. I can’t wait to wear it more when the temps in Houston are a little cooler. We’ve been at 90 degrees most of this week with lots of humidity. They are calling for cooler temps this weekend!! Yay!! I’m hopeful it’s going to be cardigan, and booties weather.

Baby Shower Outfit

Baby shower dresses don’t necessarily have to be maternity clothes. So, when I saw this dress at Anthropologie I knew I need to share it with y’all. Since my baby shower has already come I wanted to share how I would have styled this dress. I love the belle sleeved trend, and the flare at the bottom of the dress. Since it’s not a maternity dress it can probably be sized down by a tailor. If you live in the Spring, or The Woodlands area I know of one that is really talented.

The tassel trend is still going strong, and I love the delicate tassels on this handbag. The handbag has a really high end look to it without the big price tag. It’s on sale for under $300!! The scarf can add a pop of color to your bag, or wrapped around your shoulders if it gets chilly.

River Oaks Shopping + The Perfect Dress

Happy Monday y’all!! This weekend feels like it flew by. We drove to one of my favorite areas to shop in Houston, The River Oaks area. They have the best selection of high end and medium end shops. I love walking by the high end shops and dreaming, plus I love all the home decor stores that are in walking distance from each other. While I was browsing with my family, we stumbled upon a calligraphy class at West Elm with macaroons. Both of those were big wins. The class was full, but the macaroons were delicious.

I wore this light weight dress that I had from the last time I was pregnant with my son. Thankfully most of the clothes that I bought for this pregnancy still fit. This dress isn’t maternity, but I just sized up for the baby bump. Thankfully this dress is aline so it didn’t really tug at any areas that weren’t flattering. Woo hoo!! I wore my favorite newish nude booties, and they are one of the most comfortable booties in my closet. They were a little snug today, but I know that’s just the pregnancy swelling. Which is pretty normal at 32 weeks.
