Over the weekend, there was a blogger event in my neck of the woods,The Woodlands, to be exact, and I had such a good time meeting other blogger fashionista ladies! Getting to catch up with other bloggers always makes me happy. I’m not sure if it’s because I am inspired by the other ladies personalities, cute outfits, or just getting to have the opportunity to connect with other ladies on something I’m super passionate about. Either way none of the reasons are bad so I’m pretty happy with the end result. Meeting really cool fashionistas, and being inspired afterwards.

With the blogger meet up in mind I couldn’t help, but get excited about figuring out what I was going to wear. Since it was in the morning I knew I wanted to wear something that was layered that still had a fun pop of color. This sea foam colored top has been with me for a few years, and I love it!!! I’ll link a few that are similar. I can’t wait to share some of the great pieces I saw at the blogger meet up. Elaine Turner, Johnny Was, and Cos Bar out did themselves welcoming us to their shops!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Chambray Style…

If you don’t already own a chambray shirt, you should buy one!! They are a great staple piece that everyone needs in their wardrobe. They are one of those really great versatile pieces that can be worn on their own, or layered with a sweater, or cute blazer. Yep! I am a chambray loving lady. I have worn this one 4 times in a 3 day weekend! (I’m not kidding!! It pulls together almost any outfit!) Since this is such a staple  it’s worth spending a little more because it will be in high rotation. I promise! I’ve learned by trying to find less expensive versions that you can really tell a big difference in the quality, and feel of them these tops if you try to cut corners. My suggestion is to go with a chambray shirt is the J.Crew quality level family. They won’t disappoint! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope y’all had a great weekend!!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Outfit Edit by Pretty In Her Pearls

Dressy: 1 / 2 / 3

Sassy: 1 / 2 / 3

Laid back: 1 / 2 / 3

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it’s really all about giving thanks, and breaking bread with friends and family. Since I won’t be going home for the holidays I always try to make the dishes that remind me of my mom. This year is going to be bitter sweet because it’s my sons first Thanksgiving, and my first Thanksgiving without my mom. It’s kind of funny, I’ll think I am doing really great maintaining after losing her, and then there’s an exciting high like Halloween, or Thanksgiving, and all the feelings flood back in. I didn’t plan this post to share these feelings, but I started this blog to share, and inspire other people with the things that inspire me. That’s usually mostly my love of style, but sometimes that can evolve into more.  And well that’s a pretty big part of my life, and I wouldn’t feel like I was being real if I didn’t include this as well.

When choosing a Thanksgiving outfit I take into consideration what outfit is going to leave room for seconds, and look cute. These three outfits leave room for one more plate of turkey, and stuffing while still looking put together. Every family has a different holiday dress code so I’ve covered a few of the basics that I’ve run into. What’s your holiday style for Thanksgiving? Thanks so much for stopping by!!

A big thank you to all of the Veteran’s who have served to keep our country free!!

XO, Angela
