This month, I’ve been asking myself three questions before I go shopping. The three questions are can I wear it for mom duty, lunch with the girls/blogger gals, and can it be dressed up. These are literally the three things that I think when I’m shopping. Of course if you’re not a SAHM then adjust the mom duty criteria to something like can I wear it to work, or on the weekends. Depending on how dressy your office is the can I wear it to wear question might need to just be can I wear it on the weekends, or in my free time. So, there are of course exceptions to the rule because there are certain pieces you just have to have for a special occassion like an anniversary, wedding, holiday party, or a special occasion date night.
My advice when shopping with those three questions in mind is take lots of different options into the fitting room, and literally ask yourself those three questions. I’ll list them below as well. You will be amazed how much it will help you really buy pieces you’ll love, and actually wear. I always try to remember to ask myself those questions so I don’t have buyers remorse, or buy clothes that don’t fit my day to day lifestyle. My other tip is if you like something that’s expensive, but there’s a less expensive version that’s just not quite as great go for the more expensive version. Otherwise, you’ll be forever comparing, and wishing you had gotten the more expensive item in the first place. Just remember to wear it, and then you’ll get your return on investment (ROI).That’s the only finance term I know, and I use it whenever I’m debating on a splurge item.

Freshly Picked Mocs + The Perfect Summer Top
My Outfit:Top:Romwe c/o | Denim:Lucky Brand | Shoes:Target | Purse:Urban Expressions c/o | Earrings:Lisi Lerch c/o | Necklace:J.Crew sold out (similar style) | Bracelets:Kate Spade old (similar style), The Silver Loft c/o | Watch:Michael Kors | Lips:Peach Buff
Sofia’s Outfit:Top:Gap Kids sold out (similar style) | Bottoms:Gap Kids | Shoes:Freshly Picked Mocs c/o (Love these!! So soft!!) | Headband:Nordstrom (Love these!! They are a headband game changer!!)
Let me begin by apologizing for the Sofia picture over load. She just looked so dang cute I couldn’t resist sharing a few dozen photos of her. She looked so cute in her flutter sleeve pink eyelet top, and Freshly Picked Mocs. With Sofi turning 6 months it was time to add another precious pair of Freshly Picked Mocs to her collection. I love that they come with a little duster bag. It makes them perfect to store in the diaper bag, or as a keepsake for my sweet girl once she’s older. I decided the Freshly Picked Mary Janes were the perfect summer shoe for my girl. I love the adorable scallop detail, and the platinum color. The Blush Mary Janes are really cute too. If you want something a little less sparkly that’s a really pretty option.
With Sofia hitting the six month mark, I’ve caught myself thinking of all the firsts she’s done, and things she hasn’t quite mastered yet. At first, I was hard on myself thinking what was I doing wrong because she hasn’t reached all her 6 month bench mark goals. Then I took a step back, realized everyone moves at their own speed, and these aren’t her bench marks they are the ones that are being put on her. If she’s not sitting up perfectly that’s okay. There is nothing wrong with her reaching goals at her own speed. She is her own person, and she’s learning and growing at her own rate. She loves when I read to her. She stares at me so contently. She loves holding her feet, and sticking her toes in her mouth. This is really different from Pookie. He didn’t want anything to do with his feet, let alone sticking his toes in his mouth. She smiles a lot, and is great at following my lead on looking up, down, left, right. I’m so proud of her. Sofi loves her bouncer. At first, she didn’t have much interest in it, but then she learned how to jump. She loves this thing. She plays on it a few times a day. I love that it gives me time to give my son Pookie a little one on one time; while giving her some independence. We’re in full on teething mode, and Sophie the giraffe, and this blue elephant teether have been her favorites. She will nibble on them on when her gums are sore. I think the blue elephant really helps her because it’s small enough for her to use; while still being big enough to not be a choking hazard.
Okay let’s talk about this cute bright floral Romwe crop top. Ya’ll this top is so pretty in person, and I love the detail on the hem of the top. It makes the top feel like it could come from a cute high end boutique. I decided to go up a size because I wanted it to fit a little looser. I’m wearing a medium for sizing reference. I usually wear a small in tops. I paired this pretty crop top with my Target heels. These are one of my favorite pairs of heels I’ve bought in a long time. These are both really amazing finds for anyone that loves to find really cute pieces to add to their closet.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope ya’ll have a fabulous weekend!! Sorry, I wrote a book. If you have any other questions about the sizing of the Freshly Picked Mocs, or this pretty floral Romwe top I’m happy to answer any questions ya’ll have.
