Preppy Off The Shoulder Dress

This dress had me at the off the shoulder ruffles, and the blue and white color combo. Something about blue and white stripes always makes me think of a preppy southern summers day. So, ya’ll know I had to add a gold monogram into the mix. I didn’t want it too feel too preppy, so I added these gold hoop earrings. They are so cute, and seriously the lightest weight hoop earring I’ve ever worn. They won’t stretch your earlobe at all.

This dress makes me think of one of my favorite shows on Bravo. Can ya’ll guess which one? It’s Southern Charm Charleston. It’s a pretty good reality show. I love the characters, and the ladies on the show wear a lot of statement earrings by my favorite earring designer Lisi Lerch. If ya’ll haven’t checked out her earrings please do so very soon. They are so cute. These hoops are by Lisi Lerch, but my absolute favorites are probably are her tassel earrings. They are so stinkin cute!! Since I wore this dress for a date night, I ditched the bigger bags I’ve been using lately. Instead, I opted for this Urban Expressions tan crossbody that’s made with vegan leather. I love the woven detail on the front, and that it’s under $60. It’s the perfect size for lipstick, a compact, and of course a cell phone. It was a nice change from carrying a bag big enough to fit everything, but the kitchen sink. I’m partially joking.

I thought about not sharing this outfit because I wasn’t really happy with how I looked in this dress. I swear I looked in the mirror before I left the house, but it was one of those moments where the aha moment happened after I’d already left the house. I decided I can’t be the only person that’s has these moments where they don’t feel amazing in their own skin. Rather than file this outfit under Angela what in the sam heck were you thinking, I decided to be vulnerable, own how I look, and put myself out there because we’re all friends,right? So, here it goes as much as I liked myself in this dress a few weeks ago here, I don’t like what I’m seeing now. Maybe it has to do with all the changes from having a baby 6 months ago, or maybe it’s just eating one too many of my sons chicken nuggets when he’s decided he’s finished. In all honestly, it probably has something to do with a little of both of those things. So, with that in mind it’s time to change things up. Since my usual plan prekiddos won’t work it’s all about adjusting to the new normal. I’ll share more about that later. I’m going to start by doing a cleanse to reset my body before I begin changing up my lifestyle. I’ll share this on the blog. If ya’ll have any questions about cleanses please send them my way. That way I can make sure all questions are answered.

I have to take a moment to point out my cute Sofi. She is so cute in her red and denim dress. It’s on sale, and perfect for the holiday weekend. This little girl has been so fun. She has attitude for days, and the most precious smile. I’m loving dressing her, and my son. Especially dressing her in these cute gold MJ Freshly Picked Mocs that seriously go with everything.

This weekend is basically almost here, and I am so excited to start the holiday weekend with my family. I plan on indulging a little during this long weekend. I don’t plan on going crazy or anything, but I’m looking forward to some really good food off the grill.

One Shoulder Summer Outfit

Summers here!! I’m really excited for warmer temps, and cute one shoulder tops. This one in particular caught my eye because of the ruffle, and blue and white stripes. Fyi this top is $35 ,and such a great deal!! I’m a sucker for blue and white almost anything. You can probably tell from this outfit.

When it’s summer time, I like to add bright colors into the mix with my accessories. Something about it makes me so happy. Since the top makes a statement on it own with this dramatic ruffle, I added a white statement earring, and colorful bracelets. I went with a more laid back set of colorful bracelets because the earrings are really doing the talking, right? This is the perfect outfit for a laid back date night.
