It’s hot at the moment in Texas which isn’t a huge shocker!! Since it usually doesn’t feel quite like fall at the beginning I like to think  Texas has an extra season called the ‘Indian Summer’ since it doesn’t normally feel quite like fall, or summer when fall is officially here. I figure since ‘Indian Summer’ literally means an unseasonably warm day in the fall this fits my home state perfectly. Over the weekend, I wore this dress, and it is seriously one of my favorites!! It has bright colors, and pockets. Two of my favorites checked off my list.  It’s price point is great too!! It’s under $23 and fits great (I’m wearing a medium). These pictures are from my Charlotte trip. They took a little longer to get back because my friend who shot them had hard drive issues afterward. From what I hear this is not fun stuff to deal with.  Thankfully they were recovered.  I really wanted blog pictures in my hometown. We decided on Freedom Park because it’s gorgeous,and I have great memories of being there with my family when I was a young.

In other news, I survived my second solo flight with Manny jr aka Baby M. I always get a little nervous when I fly with him on my own. We did great!!  Technically it’s his third round trip flight. Thank goodness for kind people and nice flight attendants. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you all are having a great start to your week!!

I wore this dress a few months ago for a day time family outing while I was in Charlotte. I’m just now sharing it because technical issues are the root of all delays. We went to Freedom Park to take outfit photos, and then hung out around the Elizabeth area for lunch. It was really nice to see how much my home town has grown since I’ve been back.  It was a little surreal to feel a wee bit like a tourist at different points during the visit. This dress was perfect for the weather at the time. Though in all fairness I think it could be perfect for pretty much any weather. Just add a blazer, or coat depending on what time of the year it is.  I bought this dress coral and floral dress online, but I’m always a little hesitant to buy clothes online because I can’t tell how the quality of the fabric, or if it’s going to fit from looking at a picture. This dress was definitely a gamble. I ended up having to have it altered because it fit a little wonky, and ran really big. I’m wearing a medium, but it fit more like a large when I bought it. Thankfully my alterations lady worked with me on nipping it in here and there. So when it was all said, and done this dress fit more like a small now. I’m excited to wear this with booties very soon!!

Over the weekend we did a little home decor shopping. We found a dining room rug!! Woo hoo!! I’m a little excited because all the little pieces are slowly coming together. We moved into our house on Christmas Eve, and have been slowly putting our mark on it. We’ve been taking our time collecting just the right pieces for it. The only room that we knew had to be finished was my sons room. Which in reality technically didn’t have to be since he was in his basinet for about 3 months, but really can you argue with a pregnant women when she has a vision? Even though it’s almost fall it doesn’t mean you can’t embrace lighter colors. Lavender and pink are two of my favorites. Just a heads up. If you shop on Shein read the reviews on sizing. Some of their clothing doesn’t fit true to size, and return shipping isn’t covered. Their price points are really low.  Since I was heading out for lunch with Manny I added these Jeffrey Campbell booties. I love these!!! They come in 3 colors, and I have my eye on these black booties. The chunky heel is amazing especially since I am normally carrying Manny jr. around, and these give me more stability. I am really clumsy, and these booties allow me to look put together while not toppling over literally. Hehe!!
