Last week was a little crazy because we were all sick. The three of us had colds, and they kicked our butts!! Thankfully were all feeling better. This casual outfit is one of my go to’s during the week. Especially with the weather changing; cardigans are my best friend because I’m eternally hot and cold.

Thankfully since we were all feeling better we went to the Get Glam and Get Going event at Macy’s!! I had a total blogger fan moment getting to meet Emily Gemma from The Sweetest Thing. I’ve been following her since before I started blogging. I also had the pleasure of meeting fellow Houston bloggers Destiny Hart Thompson from Truly Destiny, and Alice Kerley from Lone Star Looking Glass. All in all it was a pretty awesome weekend!! Last week I got to work with Chelby from Cheeky Carmen Photography an up, and coming photographer in The Woodlands/Houston area. She was so much fun to work with, and was really creative about finding lots of fun really pretty spots to shoot. She was the sweetest, and so understanding to my major mommy brain moment. Forgetting my lipstick!! Oh lord, and well this is me without lipstick!

I bought this top while on vacation last year, and it’s one of my favorites. I love the detail on the back of the top, and pop of pink and white in it! So this top is perfect for me. Since it’s not available anymore I’ll link a few that are similar below. If you need it to have a more work appropriate angle add a pencil skirt and heels. Ohh and did I mention I love this Girl Boss bracelet!! It was gifted to me at the Thrive Blog Conference last weekend, and I love it!! It gives me a little boost when I’m feeling like a super exhausted momma. Especially on those days my top knot looks less than Pinterest or Instagram worthy, and more like a drenched mouse. If you’re looking for a cute lunch/coffee date outfit to add to your wardrobe I’ve got you covered. It’s perfect for the changing seasons, and includes two of my favorite things. It probably won’t be a shocker that two of my favorite things are gingham and denim. Gingham adds a classic feeling to any outfit, and denim adds a fun layer to almost any outfit. Plus it can go from hot to cold temps, and vice versa so a light weight denim jacket is your friend. Thankfully it was warm on our mommy and me outing last Monday. So an iced latte was needed for our date as well. Little man wore his First Crush onesie which I absolutely love. We bought it for Valentines, but then life got in the way. So he’s wearing it for lots of outings.
