Good morning!! I hope everyone had a really good weekend. We started ours early because my in laws were in town. It was so fun to see how excited Pookie was to see his Grandma and Grandpa. We went on walks with them around the neighborhood, spent lots of time at the pool, and of course a few dozen trips to Chick-fil-a for my son. Manny and I even got an impromptu date night after we put the babies to bed. We had the yummiest seafood tower at Truluck’s. It was really delicious, and nice to have a little time for us to be Mangela (Yep, our friends gave us a nickname when we were dating!! Haha!!).

Alright, let’s talk about the next holiday that is basically less than a week away. So, I’ve got the perfect Fourth Of July dress for ya’ll. If you order it today it should be there before the holiday. This blue and white dress is perfect for anyone that lives somewhere hot or humid because it is super breathable, and open at the top. Don’t you love the crisscross off the shoulder style? It’s a total show stopper in my opinion. Since there aren’t many sizes left of this dress I wore here a few weeks back; I’ll link a few other options too below.

I’m all about celebrating Indepence Day in this dress. It wouldn’t be complete without a pop of red to complete the red, white, and blue theme. So, these gorgeus earrings take it up another notch. I borrowed these earrings from my friend Brittany from Hello Honey Blog. They are so pretty, and the perfect earring that can be worn again with lots of outfits that need a pop of color.  Check out Brittanys blog, she has the cutest outfits, and the yummiest recipes on her blog.

Alrighty, I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Sofias Outfit:Dress:Gap Kids | Headband:Carters

The weekend is almost here, and I’m really looking forward to celebrating Mannys first Father’s Day as a dad of two. I opted out of the typical fancy Sunday brunch because that’s not Mannys favorite thing to do. I figured since it’s his day let’s celebrate his way. Wer’re going to probably hangout at the pool, and take the kiddos to our favorite taco place. They have a water feature outside the restaurant, so it’s perfect. We can all eat lunch, and then tire Pookie out with some fun in the water.

This is the perfect dress for celebrating Father’s Day in. It’s stylish and easy to keep up with the kiddos in. There’s a really small likely hood that you’ll have a wardrobe oops moment because of munchkins tiny hands. Funny fact my son was all about pulling at my tops. Thankfully my Sofi is way less handsy. Haha!! She’s all about giving me pats on the back, touching my necklace, and face. She loves touching our faces, and Pookies curls.

I have to take a moment to brag about my little Sofias outfit with y’all. Doesn’t she look so precious? This flutter sleeve dress is so pretty. I love the blue and white contrast with the pink embroidery detail. If it came in my size I’d wear it too. She was giving the camera all kinds of attitude, and smirks. I love her to pieces.

Thanks so much!! I hope ya’ll have a good weekend celebrating all the dads in your life.

June Favorites

June 14, 2017

June Favorites 2017, Pretty In Her Pearls, Houston Blogger

I hope ya’ll are having a good week!! The last few days have been really busy with my kiddos. So, I had been playing with the idea of doing a Favorites post each month. I plan on really focusing on my favorite style, beauty, and baby products that are making me so happy. This time around I don’t have a lot of new favorite beauty products, so I’m only adding the Peter Thomas Roth mask. Without further ado let’s get started.

Style

1.This tee is so soft. I love the detail on the neckline, and the sleeves are so cute!!

2.This light blue handbag is gorgeous, and the perfect crossbody for summer time.

3.Seriously this is the prettiest top. I love the peplum detail, and the sleeves are absolutely gorgeous too. I could wear this everyday. It comes in four colors.

4.These are one of the prettiest pink pumps. They are really comfortable too. Perfect for work or play.

5.It’s summer time, and these colorful bracelets are really pretty. It includes the tassel trend and bright colors.

6.These white denim jeans are really cute, and under $65. They have a really cute raw hem that that’s perfect for all my shorties out there that might need to take a little more length off. No having to get it tailored because it’s meant to have a raw hem. Woo hoo!! I spend way too much money on alterations. This makes me happy.

7. This tan and white bag is great for all seasons. I love the color combination too. That pop of white is perfect.

8.This top is gingham, and has the off the shoulder detail. It’s pretty much perfect!! Ohh and did  you check the cute detail out on the sleeves. It comes in three colors!! So cute!!

9.This mask has amazing!! With lots of outdoor activities, and pool time with my son this is perfect. It helps me feel like there is some balance to it all.

10. This cold shoulder top is so cute, and light weight. It’s basically perfect for the Houston hot and humid weather. I love it, and it comes white as well. It’s also only $35!!

June Favorites 2017, Pretty In Her Pearls, Houston Blogger

Alrighty, let’s talk about my favorite June baby/toddler products that have been making my life easier. Some of them are tried and true items I’ve used for the past two years, and other are brand new. It is amazing how much innovation in baby/toddler products, and gear can happen in less than two years. I’m still on the hunt for good potty training books and products that have helped ya’ll. I’m so nervous for that to begin in the next few months.

1.This cute activity toy is one of my daughters favorite toys. We have a few Skip Hop toys like this that she loves. It crinkles, and has teething features that she loves. I love that it’s grown with her as a newborn that loved all the crinkle noises and colors. Now that she’s six months old, and teething she loves the teething aspect of it too.

2.This stroller is one of my absolute favorite umbrella strollers. I feel a little bad calling it an umbrella stroller because it’s so sturdy, and comfortable for my little one. It’s not flimsy like the typical umbrella strollers that might come to mind. It also reclines, and has a decent amount of under carrage space. It also has a lot of sun protection too. With an extended adjustable canopy. My favorite part is the drink holder because momma needs her Starbucks. Haha!! I used this stroller a lot whenever I flew with my son. You can buy an UppaBaby stroller bag for the flight. This will protect it, and if anything happens to the stroller UppaBaby has a really generous replacement offer. Just keep your boarding pass and stroller check in paperwork.

3.This car seat has been awesome. When my daughter was a new born we added the Ellie Ears. Which you can see here, and from there she has grown into the car seat even more. I used this car seat for my son first, and loved it. It really easy to install, and not crazy heavy. Plus it comes in lots of different colors, and is a really safe car seat. If you live somewhere humid and hot this baby breaths. My kiddos don’t come out of the seat full of sweat either. Okay, ya’ll can tell I love it!!

4.I love play sets like this. They make my little guy think, and play make believe. I love toys that bring a toddlers imagination to the for front.

5.These burp clothes/bibs are the best thing!! I seriously can’t say enough nice things about these. They are super absorbent, make the perfect burp cloth, and bib with a quick snap. I love it!! They might seem pricey, but they are so worth it!!! I promise!!! All my new mommas, I’m friends with get a package of these even if they didn’t register for them.

6.This is one of my daughters favorite toys to teeth on. She could nibble on this for hours. She loves it.

7.These cute shoes are one of our new favorites for summer time. My son loves them, and they don’t seem to cause blisters at all.

8.I love books like this that highlight strong women. I want Sofi to know she can do anything. Starting with books that have positive role models is really important to us.

9.These are a new purchase that I love. They are perfect for toddlers with wide feet, and so far my son seems to really like them. My husband was really excited for Pookie to have his first pair of Nikes.

10.These headbands are hands down one of the best headband types. Sofi wore on these headbands here, and didn’t get fussy at all. They don’t leave indentions on their heads.

11.Ya’ll know I love my Freshly Picked Mocs. They are super soft, amazing quality, and I love that the business is run by a smart awesome women. Sofi wore their Mary Jane mocs here, and looked so precious.

12.This changing pad is the best thing since sliced bread. Your kiddo can pee on it, and it doesn’t get through the material because its made of something that’s impermiable. I could tell you what it’s made of, but really I have no idea what it is. All I know is I don’t have to worry about Changing pad covers. Woo hoo!!

13.These are awesome for teething babies. It’s cool and they can nibble. Basically the happy place for babies with teeth coming in. My son loved this. We have tried it with my daughter since she likes her Sophie the Giraffe so much.

Thank you all so much for reading!! I hope I didn’t talk too much. I’ve heard I can be chatty. If ya’ll have any questions about anything I suggested please let me know.
