Merry Christmas Eve from my family to yours!! I can’t believe how much has changed in one short year. Last year, my little Manny was celebrating his very first Christmas. Now, he’s a big brother celebrating Christmas with his new little sister, Sofia. I think he’s going to enjoy opening gifts a lot more this year. I’m waiting to put the gifts around the tree until he goes to bed since he loves boxes, and opening things. I can’t wait to see his face light up tomorrow morning. It might just be because there will be lots of boxes to move around the house. Hehe!! Every parent learns our little ones sometimes love the box more than what’s in side. He loves trucks. Basically if it has wheels his drawn to it. I have a few under the tree with his name on them.

The day we took these photos was so fun. We ended up staying in pajamas all day, and made a pajama party day out of it. It was one of my favorite first memories with my family of four. We’re not sure what the new year holds but I’ve been taking a look at this repayment calculator on Lending Expert to see if we could maybe afford to move house, which is exciting.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!! See you in 2017!!

XO, Angela

We had chilly temps when my sister was in town last week. So it was the perfect time to have a little quality girls time. We stopped by Starbucks, and I showed her around where Manny and I use to live before we bought a house. It’s a really cute area with lots of restaurants in walking distance. My favorite is the movie theatre that’s in walking distance. I totally use to pop in just to get movie theatre popcorn for watching movies at home, or The Real Housewives. She thought that was a great idea. Since we were out, and I was in something other than leggings, or pjs I took advantage of her camera skills. It was her first time helping me with blog photos, and I think she did a pretty great job. She teased me a little because I take a lot of photos. I love having options. She lives in North Carolina so I haven’t gotten to have her help till now. It was a lot of fun getting to spend time just the two of us. Since it doesn’t get very cold for long here I’m usually all about layers. This top did not disappoint. I was really excited to finally wear it since I bought it when I was  7 months pregnant. I couldn’t have been happier with the fit of it. I went with an extra small because sometimes the BP line at Nordstrom runs a little big.

The last couple of weeks have been busy package days with lots of adorable pink gifts for Sofia. I was really excited when my favorite monthly pink box from Pop Sugar Must Have Box arrived. I’m always excited to see what makes the cut each month. Last month, they included the most precious Kendra Scott bracelet, and this time they didn’t disappoint either. It had the perfect silver and white Bauble Bar necklace. I had been looking for a longer necklace to wear with this peplum top, and I love it. They also included the perfect jewelry holder that’s perfect for my vanity. It’s called the Odeme Catchall + Ring Dish. Use the code SHOP5 for $5 off your first Pop Sugar Must Have Box!! It also makes a great Christmas or Hanukkah gift to yourself!! Hooray for treating ourselves sometimes!!

I hope everyone has a fabulous holiday with their friends and family!! We have Manny’s sister coming in town for the holiday and I can’t wait. I’m really excited to celebrate baby Sofia’s first Christmas, and my son, Manny Jr.’s second Christmas. I can’t wait for him to open gifts.

XO, Angela

Dry Shampoo Hits and Misses

Dry Shampoo Review hits and missesOutfit:Cardigan:Nordstrom Sold out (similar style) | Top:Old (similar style) | Denim:Lucky Brand | Earrings:Lisi Lerch c/o old (similar style) | Necklace:Stella and Dot sold out (similar style) | Bracelet:Alex and Ani, Kendra Scott c/o | Watch:Michael Kors | Lips:Creme Cup

Dry shampoo is pretty much my new BFF. I’ve used dry shampoo for a while, but in the last few weeks it’s become my saving grace so my hair doesn’t look like a hot mess. It’s also, great if you need to take a quick shower, and don’t have time to shampoo your hair. With the holidays in full swing that is pretty normal. Especially if you have family staying at your house, and bathroom time is limited.

I have tried lots and lots of different brands, and some are hits while others have been huge misses. I can’t tell you how many full bottles I’ve thrown out because they either didn’t work, or the nozzle got clogged up after one use. Let’s just say dry shampoo is my jam, and not all are created equally. So I’m going to break down the three that I’ve been trying for the last couple months.
Dry Shampoo Review Hits and MissesBatiste is one of the brands I kept seeing in magazines, and hearing people rave about. So after probably a dozen times of hearing about it I thought it was time to try this bad boy. This is a drug store brand dry shampoo so I was a little skeptical on whether it would really work. After using it for a few months I am really impressed. I love that it actually does what it’s suppose to, and doesn’t make my hair feel oily than when I first started. Since I have fine hair I have to be careful what I use because some products just weigh it down. Thankfully that wasn’t the case with Batiste.
Dry Shampoo Review Hits and Misses

Biolage Clean and Full Dry Shampoo was great the first time I used it. It really made my hair feel and look clean. It even gave my hair a little extra volume. This made me very happy because like I said earlier I have fine hair which basically means it goes flat so quickly. There was a down side to this amazing dry shampoo. The nozzle clogged, and never unclogged. I tried running warm water over it, but nothing could unclog the nozzle. I thought it might be a defective nozzle so I replaced it, and that one clogged too. It’s a great product, but with the nozzle clogging it makes the price point $17 for single use dry shampoo. Definitely not buying it a third time.

Dry Shampoo Review Hits and MissesWella EIMI Dry Me Dry Shampoo caught my eye because I have friends that love their color line, and because I’ve tried their shampoos in the past. I was happy with the quality of their shampoos and conditioners so I felt pretty good about this investment. I opted for the smallest can they had because of my experience with the last dry shampoo. This one sprayed easily, and didn’t weigh my hair down. I did feel like I needed to reapply it by mid afternoon because the oil was coming back. So I’m not a huge fan of this since I would need the regular size can as well as a travel sized can to maintain my hair looking clean.

I was talking to a salon owner recently who was telling me about how important was for her business to stock the right shampoos but also her business energy. We often don’t think about how much it costs for small businesses so she told me and I was blown away. She then went on to tell me that she decided to change providers. I hear that Usave do some great deals, I believe she used something similar. If you’re interested to do the same compare here.

All in all I loved the Batiste Dry Shampoo. It is great quality at a drug store price tag. So why pay more if it’s not necessary. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope y’all have a fabulous Monday!!

XO, Angela
