So I’ve a got a good secret!! It’s the kind you just can’t keep to yourself, and you totally shouldn’t. Are you ready for it? Okay the secret is… (drum roll) I’m wearing capris as skinny jeans!! Yep if you are petite a lot of regular denim capris can totally pass as skinny jeans on all of us 5’2 and under gals!! I know this is good news for a lot of y’all!! Think of all the cute capris you can buy at the end of the summer that other people seriously can’t use till next season. The only real down side is capris aren’t normally a petite/vertically challenged fashionistas best friend!!

I wore this outfit over the weekend for a blogger meet up. It was the perfect functional, yet chic feeling little outfit. I wanted something that could transition really easily from the meet up to hanging out with my family. Not to mention going to a huge party store to pick out decorations for little Mannys birthday. If you live in the Houston area seriously check out Arne’s Warehouse and Party Store. They had so many of the cute shiny gold balloons we all love as bloggers and Instagramers!!! Ohh and tons of great baby party decor of course!! If y’all have any baby party suggestions that worked for y’all I’m seriously all ears!! (Hehe!!) Since the last few days have been chillier in the morning, and evening this scarf was my best friend!! I’m eternally cold so having this was perfect!! Plus I love the colors in it!! To Infinity Scarf and Beyond…

This was basically my outfit Saturday and Sunday. I know that sounds a little weird, or maybe even odd, but I was literally only in it for a few hours both days. (Oops I might be over sharing!!) Black and white are two staple colors I wear a lot of. Especially when I’m short on time, and in need of something that looks pulled together. I added a bright pop with this yellow polo. Yellow is totally a color I don’t wear often, but I’m glad I did. I think it lightened it up, and added another layer to the outfit. Btw fun fact if you ever have a blemish on your neck add a scarf, and no one will be the wiser!! Hehe!! When I wasn’t in this outfit; I pretty much lived in my pajamas otherwise over the weekend. My little man has been teething so staying close to home for most of the weekend was really important.

Thankfully the three of us got out for a little social call to see friends and their adorable chocolate lab. I love that he gives little man kisses, and he is totally happy about it. Hehe!! Valentine is typically all about the couples, but it’s also a really great time to celebrate the besties in your life. You know the ones that let you go on and on about this or that. We all hopefully have a few really good friends like this. I know mine have been my saving grace at times. Inspiring me when I needed a little pick me up, or suggesting lunch out when I had been in pjs for a few too many days. True story!! Well let’s celebrate them as well. The great thing is you can do something as simple as a nail polish color, or as elaborate as you’d like to go. This pink scarf is a steal by the way!! Might as well buy two!! That way you can be twinsies!! (Yep, I’m totally cheesy like that!!) In the spirit of Valentines, all things pink, and champagne the color of choice for this gift guide is various shades of pink!!
