Chambray Style…

If you don’t already own a chambray shirt, you should buy one!! They are a great staple piece that everyone needs in their wardrobe. They are one of those really great versatile pieces that can be worn on their own, or layered with a sweater, or cute blazer. Yep! I am a chambray loving lady. I have worn this one 4 times in a 3 day weekend! (I’m not kidding!! It pulls together almost any outfit!) Since this is such a staple  it’s worth spending a little more because it will be in high rotation. I promise! I’ve learned by trying to find less expensive versions that you can really tell a big difference in the quality, and feel of them these tops if you try to cut corners. My suggestion is to go with a chambray shirt is the J.Crew quality level family. They won’t disappoint! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope y’all had a great weekend!!

Brunching in Plaid…

November 13, 2015

Fall plaid, and bootcut denim outfitOver the shoulders coat, Plaid button down, and Stella and Dot necklaceFall StyleGold aviator sunnies, plaid, and gold accessoriesCoat over shoulders, and plaid topStella and Dot necklace, and an accent braidPlaid button down, bootcut denim, and sunniesJacket:Bebe old (similar style) | Top:B.P. | Denim:Citizens of Humanity | Shoes:Guess old (similar style) | Purse:Louis Vuitton (similar style) | Earrings:Bauble Bar sold out (similar style) | Necklace:Stella and Dot | Watch:Micheal Kors | Lips:Cruella

There are a few things that make me think of the holidays… Plaid, Starbucks red cups, and  cozy sweaters are most definitely a few of them. This plaid button down is one of my favorites because of the color, cut, and price point. Yep I am most definitely on a budget, and this is thankfully in my budget!! Dressing up tops with shoes, and accessories are two of my favorite ways to add that extra layer of wow to an outfit. I have to admit that I love that wow factor pieces can be layered on before I leave the house. That way I still have plenty of time to play with my son while I’m getting ready, and not worry so much about his strong little grip. Let’s just say my little guy has quite the grip, and I’ve already lost a few necklaces from his strong little grip. What do you add to dress up an outfit?

I wore this to a blogger brunch last weekend. It was such a treat to meet other bloggers that have a passion for blogging, and completely understand my need to rearrange how my place setting is set up so I can take a few dozen pictures (I might be over exaggerating!) to get just the right one to capture brunch with the ladies!! By the way if you have a Del Frisco’s Grill near you the burger is delicious, and the Bloody Mary is perfect!! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope y’all have a fabulous weekend!!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Outfit Edit by Pretty In Her Pearls

Dressy: 1 / 2 / 3

Sassy: 1 / 2 / 3

Laid back: 1 / 2 / 3

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it’s really all about giving thanks, and breaking bread with friends and family. Since I won’t be going home for the holidays I always try to make the dishes that remind me of my mom. This year is going to be bitter sweet because it’s my sons first Thanksgiving, and my first Thanksgiving without my mom. It’s kind of funny, I’ll think I am doing really great maintaining after losing her, and then there’s an exciting high like Halloween, or Thanksgiving, and all the feelings flood back in. I didn’t plan this post to share these feelings, but I started this blog to share, and inspire other people with the things that inspire me. That’s usually mostly my love of style, but sometimes that can evolve into more.  And well that’s a pretty big part of my life, and I wouldn’t feel like I was being real if I didn’t include this as well.

When choosing a Thanksgiving outfit I take into consideration what outfit is going to leave room for seconds, and look cute. These three outfits leave room for one more plate of turkey, and stuffing while still looking put together. Every family has a different holiday dress code so I’ve covered a few of the basics that I’ve run into. What’s your holiday style for Thanksgiving? Thanks so much for stopping by!!

A big thank you to all of the Veteran’s who have served to keep our country free!!

XO, Angela
