Peplums are absolutely one of my favorites, and this one has been in high rotation. I love the eyelet detail, and the zipper detail. Sorry it’s not able to be viewed in the picture. It was a little chillier than I thought it was going to be yesterday. It was the perfect excuse for a hot coffee though after taking blog pictures. Hooray!!! It’s the little things!! This is not the poncho from back in the 90’s!! These ponchos come in beautiful soft fabrics with equally beautiful designs, and cuts. They aren’t shapeless!! Which is really important, or I wouldn’t be able to pull this off. So all the petite ladies don’t have to shy away from this fun trend. As you all know, I’m 5’0 so the ponchos of the 90’s wouldn’t do my figure any favors!! Thankfully the ponchos from Shopzyania are cut very nicely, and don’t fit at all like a potato sack!! (Definitely not the look I want!!) I’m always cold, and I’m loving that this changes up the siloutte from the usual cardigan. This ponchos color, and cut adds a fun layer  to the outfit!! Finding pieces like this is how I survive the fall, winter months in Houston because one moment it’s hot and the next it’s not!! I added, a skinny corduroy pant rather than skinny denim jean because I wanted some added texture.  These Old Navy Rockstar cords are a steal, and fit very similar to some of the pricier cords I have in my closet. Berry Tunic and Earth Tones

Berry and earth tones are becoming two of my favorite color families this year!! This cowl neck tunic has been on my radar for a bit. I love the cut, color, and feel of it. Yep, I’ve gone to Nordstrom just to make sure it’s not itchy. The good news is it’s not. So it’s on my list of cowl neck sweaters I can’t wait to add to my collection/closet!! I really like mixing different shades of the same color family because it really adds another layer to the colors, and I also just love the monochromatic feel of it. I especially like doing this with earth tones in the brown family. What’s your favorite way to adding that special touch to your outfit? Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
