I’ve had a few questions about my opinion on the Romwe site, and if it really is a legitimate site to shop from. With that in mind I wanted to share my thoughts on the Romwe because I understand shopping online can be hard. There’s a lot to take into consideration as far as sizing, fit, length, is it really going to work for my body type, and the list goes on.  I shared this outfit last spring, but thought this was the perfect example of  how to shop Romwe. The first thing I thought I’d share is my failure, and win from buying this cute Romwe White Sleeveless Geometric Tribal Print Chiffon Dress. Yes, you read that right. When I bought this it was a dress, and it just didn’t do anything for me. The chiffon was too flowy for my petite frame. I knew I loved the gorgeus colorful geometric tribal print, but the length was just not working for me. I looked like I was in a moo moo. So, with a little creativity I went to my local alterations lady, and asked her to make it a top. It was a big risk having her alter it to be a top, but I am so glad I did. Otherwise it would have sat in my closet collecting dust. The good news is Romwe has a 30 day return policy if something doesn’t work out. I’ve had more success than failure shopping Romwe. Here are a few tips to consider when shopping Romwe.

Do your Research

What I mean by this is rely on reviews by shoppers, and bloggers. You can usually find shoppers, and bloggers pretty easily through Pinterest or Instagram. I like to search the hashtags that the online boutique uses as well as look at their social media. You might find someone they have tagged in the item you want, and then you can message them your questions on fit and quality. A lot of the time people are really happy to help, and share their opinion on what they thought of the item.

Quality

Please know going in that sometimes the items aren’t the best quality. I’ve bought a few tops that were amazing quality, and a few that weren’t amazing quality. They weren’t so bad that I couldn’t wear them a few times. This is usually where I buy my favorite trendy pieces that I know might go out of style. Because let’s be real trendy pieces are in one moment, and out the next. Thankfully cold shoulder tops, and off the shoulder tops are going strong. I love those!!

Check your measurements, and then check again

Check your measurments becasue a lot of the time the measurements from one style top, dress etc. can be different from another. Also, I don’t think they go buy American sizing so checking your measurements against their measurments will save you lots of headaches and dissapointment.

Alright with all that said I would still shop Romwe becasue they have really cute trendy items. You just have to do your homework when you shop their site, and other similar sites. Even though my top started out as a dress I absolutely love it, and couldnt imagine it any other way. It’s bright and perfect for spring and summer!!

Happy Monday!! I hope everyone had a really good weekend!! We had a fun weekend that was really busy, but so good. If you follow on Instastories you probably saw some of the fun we had. Let’s just say the calories I enjoyed over the weekend don’t count. I had the most delicious Gigi Cupcakes. Oh it was good. If you live in The Woodlands, or Houston it’s worth the drive.

Okay on to todays outfit. I’m wearing my go to momma outfit that I usually add some cute flats, and small earrings to. Seriously most earrings almost always scratch my baby girl when I pick her up. So, with a few small additions we can take my favorite momma uniform from mommy duty to brunch date with the girls, or lunch date with the hubby. I added the perfect Lisi Lerch pink tassel statement earring. I have had my eye on these for a while, and was so excited when the arrived last week. I may have jumped, and said in a high pitch voice yay when they have arrived. They are so pretty!! And then an obligatory oh I can’t wait to wear these. Basically this is the perfect statment earring. If I could give it heart eyes I would. Lisi Lerch makes gorgoues earring that have lots of options for my girls with, or without pierced ears. I have my eye on this gorgeous Turquoise  pair because blue is one of my favorite spring colors.

The second addition are these cute Steve Madden wedges ya’ll have heard me rave about a few dozan times. They are the dupes for the Marc Fisher ones, and I absolutely love them. They aren’t crazy heavy, and when you’re walking in them. I love this because I’ve had wedges in the past that were too heavy, and then I ended up not wearing them for that reason.

The final addition to the lunch date look is a little extra blush, and contour. Because almost all mommas would like a moment to touch up their hair and makeup. I found the perfect blush contour kit thanks to the editors at Pop Sugar Must Have Box. The Ciate London Olivia Palermo Blush Cheek Bone Cheat is my new favorite. I love this blush duo so much!! You will see a lot of this pretty palette this summer.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope ya’ll have a fabulous week!! Please give some love to Lisi Lerch, and take sometime to read Lisi Lerch’s company story!!

Claiming My Name With Hitch Switch + How I Met My Hubby

I’ve got a little secret I haven’t shared with ya’ll. It’s not a big secret, but it’s still embarrassing. I have been married since 2011, and I haven’t officially changed my last name to my hubbies. In my defense we moved a few weeks after we got married, and had the fun task of figuring out where we wanted to live. Trying to figure that out in a big city is a huge task all on its own. So, I put off going to all the different places necessary to get the ball rolling. I know it’s bad, but the last thing I wanted to do after the moving was wait in line to get this name change thing going.

With vacation season getting closer I decided I had to get this done. Especially because I don’t want to be the reason traveling with our two babies is even harder. With that in mind I promised myself in 2017 I would finally really get it done. So much time had passed, and I was like where in the world do I start? Do I change my drivers license first, my passport, and the list goes on? Thankfully, I came across, Hitch Switch, a company that literally takes the hassel out of changing your name by locating all the neccessary forms that need to be filled out, and makes the whole process so much easier.  All I had to do was pick the Hitch Switch package (I’ll share more details on the packages below!!) that was right for me (I chose the Platinum Package because I needed all the help I could get!!), fill out a few simple online forms, and wait for my cute little package to come in the mail so I could claim my new last name. The best part was the package arrived with a detailed folder inside. The folder had a cover sheet on top with instructions, and what I needed to mail to each office. It also included details on what forms needed my social security number added to them. I absolutely love that I didn’t have to include any sensitive information in the online questionnaire.

There are three plans you can choose from to stream line changing your last name. They range from $29 to $89. There is the Print At Home Package, Full Service, and Platinum Package. The package you choose really depends on how hands on you want to be with the process of claiming your new last name. I personally chose the Platinum Package because I wanted as much help as I could get. I knew there was a reason I didn’t do this on my own in the first place, and so I referred all my questions to the Hitch Switch pros. I have to say it has been one of the easiest experiences, and the customer service was perfection through the entire process. They have literally answered any, and all questions I had.

This is the perfect gift for the newly wed couple, or the busy mom that doesn’t have the time to change their name because life can be crazy. Hitch Switch simplifies the name change process, and makes it easy.

I’m going to get a little mushy for a second because changing my name was a big deal to me, but it was something I had always planned on doing. I wanted to take my husbands last name because I love him, and changing my last name signified starting our new lives together as a married couple. Now that it’s done I couldn’t be happier that my last name is officially Amores. Our last name holds a special significiance to me because the first time I met Manny he joked that his last name meant love, and that I would want to marry him because of that. I remember laughing at his pickup line, and thinking this guy is cute and has jokes for days. That night we exchanged numbers, and began texting each other as soon as we both got home. We ended up talking on the phone till the sun came up about our favorite books, movies, quotes, family, and everything in between. I remember thinking if our phone call is any indication of what our first date is going to be like well it couldn’t be bad. Years have past, we have two babies, and I’m officially an Amores. It’s funny how life comes full circle from a chance encounter with a cute guy at the bar. Yes, we met at a bar. It’s funny you can find love in the places you least expect.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope ya’ll have a great weekend!!

XO, Angela
