If you’re looking for a cute lunch/coffee date outfit to add to your wardrobe I’ve got you covered. It’s perfect for the changing seasons, and includes two of my favorite things. It probably won’t be a shocker that two of my favorite things are gingham and denim. Gingham adds a classic feeling to any outfit, and denim adds a fun layer to almost any outfit. Plus it can go from hot to cold temps, and vice versa so a light weight denim jacket is your friend. Thankfully it was warm on our mommy and me outing last Monday. So an iced latte was needed for our date as well. Little man wore his First Crush onesie which I absolutely love. We bought it for Valentines, but then life got in the way. So he’s wearing it for lots of outings.

Finding just the right outfit for holiday get togethers can be hard. Normally I look for something that is cute and functional. You might wonder what I mean by functional when it comes to a holiday outfit. I’ll break it down.Functional in regard to holiday attire means that I can eat in it, have a few cocktails, and not look like I’m sporting a food baby. Peplum tops are amazing for this, and wearing a scarf draws the eye upward. Just a little heads up this peplum top is on sale, and my coat is under $40!! I’m a big fan of good deals. I have a feeling button-ups are going to be my go to fall uniform. I bought this during the Nordies sale, and didn’t notice the contrasting pattern on the inside of the sleeves. Let me just tell you, I love this cute detail!!    If you are adding plaid, or gingham I really suggest the B.P. brand from Nordstrom.  Their price point for button-ups is under $40 , and they are really good quality. In the past, the button-ups I’ve bought (I won’t name names, but it’s safe to say it’s a popular brand that shirts are just thin I’ve learned) have felt like they were going to rip by simply rolling the sleeves up. Thankfully that isn’t the case with this one, and this one is about half the cost of the other ones. They run really true to size (I’m wearing a small).

On a completely different topic, I’m flying with my little guy again. This will be his third round trip flight, and my second time flying solo with him. I’m a little nervous since he’s 7 months, and a lot more active now. He’s also eating solids now so I’m packing more than just formula and diapers. Wish me luck on Saturday please. If you all have any suggestions of different things that have worked for you I’d love to know. I am so bad about trying to pack everything, but the kitchen sink. (Just kidding kind of!!) Happy first day of fall!!!
