Happy Monday!! I hope y’all had a fabulous weekend with lots of down time, and relaxing with your family. We had a busy to do list on Saturday. We did lots of errands, and took down our Christmas decorations. It was a little depressing because I just love the way the house looks with the Christmas tree, stocking, and lights outside. Thankfully my hubby took care of most of the packing up of our Christmas decorations. If it was socially acceptable I’d probably keep them up all year long. The one thing that is nice is not having to tell my son don’t touch the tree every two minutes.

In other news, I’ve been living in this Tandoori Spice Lush T-Shirt. It’s super soft, fits perfectly, and the pocket is in the perfect location. Pocket local might sound minor, but it can seriously make, or break a cute T-Shirt. If it’s too low cut for you add a lacy tank underneath it. For all my girls with bums this T-Shirt is short in front, and longer in the back. So it’s the perfect to for us!! Yay!! It’s the perfect length to tuck in, half tucked (I hope that’s an expression), or untucked. So it I will probably pick a few more of these up since they are comfortable, and under under $25. Y’all can probably tell by my Instagram feed, I’ve been living in this cardigan. It’s cozy, has pockets, and comes in a lot of different colors. The gray version is sold, but I linked it’s look alike above.

Perfect Homebody Outfit

The last few weeks have been a blur of long nights, and early mornings with my son. One of the things that has helped keep me stay sane besides coffee is changing out of my pajamas every morning. I don’t care if I’m only half out of them. As long as I have a top or bottoms on that I didn’t sleep in I feel like some variation of normal. Since my daughter hasn’t had her first big round of vaccinations I’m at home a lot. It’s only natural to get cabin fever. Since I’m home with my kiddos during the day I am all about some loungewear.

Thankfully lounge ware has come a long way since I was a kid. Hello cute slim fit sweat pants. I like shirts with cute messages on them, and this one is right up my alley. Since I’m keeping up with a newborn and a toddler I opted for a slip on that has a back to it. Traditional slippers are too easy to fall in. I’m a little on the clumsy side, and anything that helps me not fall on my face is great. Ohh and we all need our nails to have a little color on them. I love this new OPI line. It really looks great, and last longer than the traditional nail polish. I might do a tutorial on the new OPI Infinite Shine line if y’all are interested. Let me know if that’s something you’d like to see.

Happy New Year!! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season. I enjoyed lots of time with my hubby, and our family. My daughter, Sofia, is 6 weeks old, and she is starting to show her personality a little bit more. Which my hubby and I love!! This was Manny Jr.’s second Christmas, and he was really excited to open boxes, and push them around the house. It’s so true what people says about toddlers and gifts. Give them an empty box, and they really will be in heaven for days with it.

The past week the temps have been the chilliest I have felt in Houston in a long time. I had planned on taking Sofia on a walk the day we took these photos, but with the chilly temps we decided to stay close to home. We did get outside for a little fresh air, and so my son could play outside. He loves exploring the outdoors. I brought Sofie out in her carseat, and Ellie Ears. These are an amazing new baby product from Modern Barn that every new baby needs. I ran across them while looking at Jillian Harris’s Instagram. Yep I love me some celebrity new mommas!! With my son I tried using the newborn insert I had bought for my carseat, but that only worked for about 2 weeks because a week later the lower half of my sons body was too big for the newborn insert. Since I haven’t completely lost all the baby weight I have been living in these stretchy comfy dresses, and of course some of my favorite loungewear. Not being back to my post baby size has been an adjustment. I promised myself I’m not going to be hard on myself. I try to remind myself Angela it took 9 months to put this baby weight on, and it’s going to take sometime to lose it the healthy way. So I’m staying positive, loving the new me, and what my body has made. It’s pretty crazy to think a little over 6 weeks ago she was hanging out in my tummy, and now she is here. Now back to the outfit. I promise I won’t be so long winded on every blog post. I thought since we were going to be outside I might as well dress up a little bit. Plus I’m guessing my neighbors have seen me enough in my pajamas getting the mail. This is a non maternity dress that I wore while I was pregnant. I have to say it is really comfortable on. I added this long BP cardigan that I’ve basically been living in, and this necklace that I made myself. I did a tutorial all about how to make it here. It’s one of my favorite necklaces because it brings back memories of being a kid at camp doing arts and crafts. That was seriously one of my favorite parts of camp. You can never be too careful with your little one, my friend recently had an accident on the sidewalk because of construction works and was so glad she had slip and fall lawyer in florida at hand! Their legal knowledge is second to none!
