Happy Friday!! I’m changing it up a little today, and sharing a new restaurant that my blogger friend Dawn from Dawn P. Darnell introduced me to a couple of weeks ago called Tiny Boxwoods. Check out her blog. She has great style and a cutie for a son. Our little boys are close in age, and we bonded right away over fashion, beauty, and being boy mommas to high energy toddlers.

This restaurant was so good I had to share it with y’all!! It’s the perfect place to go for a galentines celebration brunch, or a date with someone special. They have the tastiest brunch, and they make one mean vanilla latte. It was so good that I’d drive there with my two kiddos just to pickup a to go latte and cookie. They are known for their signature delicious cookies. If you live in Houston, or the suburbs check it out. You won’t be sorry. I don’t live in Houston proper because to be really honest when we first moved to Houston it made me a little nervous. It felt a lot bigger than Dallas. I had been there for the last 3 years, and that was my first big move from Charlotte which isn’t tiny, but definitely is no where near as big as Dallas let alone Houston.

Alright, let’s talk clothes. I wore this cute pinstriped ruffle hem top. I really like that it feels like the laid back free spirited little sister to the peplum top. It’s sold out at the moment, but I’ve linked two really  similar tops, as  well as a few other ruffle hem tops that are just as laid back as this one. I’ve been trying to stay away from lighter denim washes because darker denim is more slenderizing. So, I’m doing what I can to feel like me in my clothes. What are your tips, and tricks for feeling great in your clothes?

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope y’all have a great weekend!!

XO, Angela

Valentines Date Night Look

February 1, 2017

Valentines Date night outfit, Pretty In Her Pearls, Houston Blogger

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8

Valentines will be here before we know it. So, in the spirit of planning ahead, I’m sharing a Valentines outfit that’s perfect for transitioning into spring. Since Valentines is all about the color pink, and red I decided to stick with pink and rose gold accessories. This dress is so perfect with the ties at the end of the sleeves. This is a trend I am really loving. The cut of the dress is great too. Having it a little longer in the back is great for us ladies with bums, or those who are on the taller side. I was turned on to these cute sunnies when I had lunch with a girlfriend of mine. They are under $60 too!! Hers were silver, and so cute. With the holiday in mind, and my love of the color pink (Not a big shocker!!) I choose the pinkish blue version. They are so pretty!! I added a little edge with this cute leather jacket that’s under $70. What are you wearing for your Valentines date?

XO, Angela

Long Cardigans: How To Style Them When You’re Petite

January 30, 2017

So, it’s been two months since I had baby Sofi, and I’ve been living in these long cardigans. They are my best friend while I’m rocking my post baby body. I’ve said it time, and time again that this last bit of baby weight is going to take sometime to come off. So, cardigans have been best buddy. They help me feel more comfortable in my own skin, and less self conscious. They also minimize problem areas, and add an extra layer to an outfit. They can really elevate an outfit depending on the quality of the fabric and color.

When I’m shopping for cardigans Nordstroms BP. brand is the first place I look. I love this brand because their cardigans aren’t too long on me, and don’t eat up my petite frame.  My rule of thumb is as long as the cardigan doesn’t hit past my knee then I’m good. Otherwise, it chops my legs off, and I appear shorter. Which is not anyones goal when shopping!! Am I right?  They come in a wide variety of sizes ranging from xxsmall to xlarge. (I’m wearing an xxsmall for size reference!!) The other thing, I love is the price point is usually somewhere between $44 to the mid $50’s. This is really important because we all have budgets were trying to stay with in, and this fits right into that happy spot for me. I’ve linked a few other perfect cardigans in different colors for y’all!

In other news, I wore this for a blogger coffee date in Houston at Tout Suite. They had the yummiest lattes, and the prettiest macaroons. I tried to be strong, and not partake in the beautiful macaroons, but ended making a special trip back to pick some up.They did not disappoint. They were even tastier than they were pretty. I didn’t think that was possible because they were so pretty. I shared a few pictures on Instagram because when you see something beautiful you have to share it!!

Alrighty, I think that’s it!! I hope y’all have a fabulous start to your week!!

XO, Angela
