There are a few things that make me think of the holidays… Plaid, Starbucks red cups, and  cozy sweaters are most definitely a few of them. This plaid button down is one of my favorites because of the color, cut, and price point. Yep I am most definitely on a budget, and this is thankfully in my budget!! Dressing up tops with shoes, and accessories are two of my favorite ways to add that extra layer of wow to an outfit. I have to admit that I love that wow factor pieces can be layered on before I leave the house. That way I still have plenty of time to play with my son while I’m getting ready, and not worry so much about his strong little grip. Let’s just say my little guy has quite the grip, and I’ve already lost a few necklaces from his strong little grip. What do you add to dress up an outfit?

I wore this to a blogger brunch last weekend. It was such a treat to meet other bloggers that have a passion for blogging, and completely understand my need to rearrange how my place setting is set up so I can take a few dozen pictures (I might be over exaggerating!) to get just the right one to capture brunch with the ladies!! Shifting in to the fall season with the cutest blue shift dress. I absolutely love this dress, and the price point is really sweet too. It’s $49 and very versatile. I am already imagining it with knee high boots, a skinny belt, and a camel colored coat. For now this is perfect for the warm fall weather we’re having in Houston.

Hope y’all had a nice weekend!! We spent the weekend getting our house ready for a new Pottery Barn dining room table. Long story short, the dining room table came, and went back. It was damaged (insert sad face, and a super disappointed tone of voice). I’m hoping they can get another one to us hopefully before Thanksgiving. Keeping my fingers crossed. Over the weekend I wore this laid back outfit for a blogger picnic in Houston with my good friend Lisa from Style Point. It was the perfect time to wear my distressed boyfriend jeans, and gingham top. I went with the more is more spirit, and layered two of my favorite statement necklaces. Long story short, after being introduced to the cutest place, Tout Suite, and having one of the tastiest iced coffees ever we were on our way to Memorial Park. By the way it had the prettiest white brick wall that I had to take a few pictures in front of. After taking a few photos we were on our way to Memorial Park where we proceeded to get very lost. Let me tell you that it is not fun in wedges. It reminded me of the time I went to New York with, Manny, and also got super lost in Central Park. I had no idea how big that park was. It is seriously really big. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
